Co-Investment

A co-investment is a direct investment an LP makes into a specific deal alongside the fund, usually on top of its fund commitment and often with reduced or no fees and carry. GPs offer co-invest to trusted LPs when a deal is larger than the fund wants to hold alone. For LPs it lowers blended costs and concentrates capital in chosen deals.
